Dopo il video di alcuni giorni giorni fa su come suonare Strawberry Fields Forever,vi proponiamo oggi un altro interessante pezzo dei Beatles, che fu il lato B del singolo che conteneva Strawberry Fields Forever, sto parlando di Penny Lane. Pezzo scritto in realtà dal solo Paul McCartney e che insieme al lato A Strawberry Fields Forever avrebbe dovuto essere uno dei pezzi di un intero album dedicato a Liverpool. Il progetto però fu rapidamente abbandonato e dopo essere usciti come singolo i due pezzi furono inseriti nell’album Magical Mystery Tour,colonna sonora dell’omonimo film; ma questa è un’altra storia.
Per quanto riguarda gli accordi da eseguire con la chitarra,Penny Lane è abbastanza semplice se avete già un pò di dimestichezza, interessante è il passaggio iniziale dove l’autore del video propone un LA con basso di FA# da prendere con il pollice. Altra parte interessante del pezzo è il passaggio da Mi/Fa# a Mi/Fa (da Mi con basso di Fa# a Mi con basso di Fa). Per il resto gli accordi sono i soliti classici con un largo uso delle settime.
